Optical fiber carries campus backbones, data-center interconnects, and FTTH access. Single-mode (OS2) is the default for distance and DWDM-ready plant; multimode (OM3/OM4/OM5) is still used for short, high-speed indoor links. We install indoor, outdoor, and aerial/duct plant and close the job with loss and OTDR records.

Fiber plant services

  • Fiber optic cabling — single-mode (SM) and multimode (MM)
  • Fusion splicing and mechanical splicing where specified
  • Connector termination (LC, SC, MPO) and pigtail installation
  • ODF / fiber patch-frame installation, labeling, and slack management
  • Fiber testing and certification (insertion loss, OTDR event analysis)
  • FTTH infrastructure: splitters, drop cables, FAT/FAT boxes, indoor ONT pathways

Kaizen Solution designs, supplies, installs, and commissions this scope for offices, industrial sites, campuses, and data facilities across Egypt — with documentation, training, and after-sales support.

FAQ

When do you use OTDR versus a power meter?
A light source and power meter measure end-to-end loss against the loss budget. An OTDR locates splices, bends, and breaks along the span. Both are used on backbone and FTTH feeder jobs; short indoor patch links may be loss-tested only.
